Consistently lose wireless internet after sitting idle for an extended time
I have a laptop running Ubuntu 13.04, however this has been an issue that
has plagued me since I started using Ubuntu with 10.04. My laptop, after
sitting idle for an extended amount of time, loses wireless internet
connectivity. I am still connected to the network and I have a valid IP
address, however when I try to browse the web or even ping a web address
like www.google.com I cannot get a DNS resolution.
I have an Acer 7745G laptop and my wireless card is BCM43225 802.11b/g/n
using Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA wireless driver source from
bcmwl-kernel-source (proprietary)
